Yield Enhancement Engineer Responsibilities
Once new product introduction goals have been met there exists the need for continuous improvement in both the design and the manufacturing. Yield enhancement engineers take on this difficult role which has at its heart two roles: diplomat and detective. In their diplomatic role provide the bridge engineering groups often across business functions to partner on yield enhancement activities. Proceeding this diplomatic role, they need to be a detective and follow every lead for improving yield. In both these roles, data analytics can provide information on which possible actions can be taken. Using a common platform with their engineering partners means they can effectively communicate possible courses of action.
